Yes! Before I looked at your words, I tried to figure out what the picture was, and I guessed right. Maybe that’s not such a great accomplishment, but hey, I take wins where I can get them. 😉

Crisps and cobblers are my favorite, too. 🙂 My mom and dad grew their own rhubarb at the edge of the garden.

How perfect! I wish we had some growing here but at least there are farmers markets close.

I love rhubarb. I grew up in Colorado and it grows wild all over the place. I had it growing in almost every yard of every house I lived in as a kid. My brother and I would wash it, peel it, salt it, and eat it. Yum. I still buy a stalk occasionally when I see it at the market. I have never liked it in a pie or any other way. Raw with salt please 🙂

I haven’t had it with salt but think I’m going to need to try! Another great option is a light rhubarb wine if you don’t like the sweetness of pie. 🙂

My dad makes it as a hobby but if I hear of anywhere that sells it retail I’ll let you know.

Wow, fabulous photo! I’m from Texas and had never even heard of rhubarb until I moved to California. It still mystifies me…maybe because I haven’t tried it 🙂

It is pretty tart alone but wonderful when mixed with a sweet or salty flavor! I’m glad you like my photo. 🙂

I harvested my first rhubarb this week…so special. I think the subject for your post was quite appropriate.
