Today I made an effort to slow down and look at the simple patterns of every day objects. It can be hard to stop in the middle of work, errands and demands that each day brings but there are rewards to be found in these quiet moments. I finished work early this afternoon and rushed to get my son after school so we could check off a few things on my “to-do” list and pick up a gift for my mom for Mother’s Day. By 4:00 we were hungry and thought it would be fun to stop at favorite coffee shop for a quick snack. Instead of leaving with our order to go we sat down on the couch to talk and saw this beautiful pattern in the table top right in front of us. Patterns are everywhere when we are still long enough to notice.
