iPhone Monday 12-2-13

The first Monday of every month focuses on images of nature at Lens and Pen by Sally’s Phoneography Challenge.  I love the vibrant shades of the ever-present bright green moss growing all around this part of the Pacific Northwest.  Chilly temperatures will soon take a toll on the vivid display so I’m happy I captured this patch before our first hard freeze…

We see moss like this in Wyoming, too, during the summer. Lovely.

Thanks Janet. I know some people spend a fortune to remove it from their lawn but I leave it to grow peacefully. I love the shades of green and soft textures. Plus it doesn’t need mowing. 🙂

Thanks LD, this is my favorite shade of green. It’s really something in the spring when new growth comes out. 🙂

Moss gardens are so pretty and very low maintenance. 🙂 The only place I don’t like it is on my roof and driveway…

I loved walking on moss when I was a barefoot child. My foot left a small impression that the moss erased as I walked along. Such great colors in your capture. Cheers!
