Weekly Travel Theme: Silver

Silver

Alisa’s weekly travel theme is posted every Friday and the newest prompt is the word “Silver.”  I thought I would keep my entry simple today and show you these beautiful King Salmon from Seattle’s Pike Place Market.  They are as fresh as you can get without stepping on a boat and the helpful market staff will fillet your purchase and package it up to carry home or ship anywhere you would like.

Yum! I was never a salmon fan until I came up here and partook in fresh salmon. There is simply no comparison. Perfect choice.

Thanks D’Arcy! I thought the Market would be a good example of a travel destination and fit well for the travel theme. 🙂

Excellent entry for “silver”. I can remember, when I was very small, seeing fish at the market like this and actually wondering if their skins were made of metal.

I’m glad you like this one. I always wonder if that is what kids are thinking when I see them stopped in front of the icy displays. The iridescent simmer is just beautiful.
