2014 Tulip Festival 2

I took hundreds of tulip photos last weekend but don’t worry, I won’t post all of them at once!  After today we’ll take a break from the Skagit Valley pictures and tomorrow will bring something new to see and talk about.

Thanks Andy, it really is like a little piece of Holland. In fact the owners of this farm came here from Holland 60 years ago. 🙂

These photos make we want to head to Skagit … but then I think of the crazy traffic jams, and maybe enjoying it through you is less stressful!

Oh, the traffic was awful going north on Saturday. We spent the weekend with family in Bellingham and got up early Sunday morning to see the tulip fields before most of the tourists arrived. I’ll happily share my photos and spare you the drive. 🙂

I’m up here. I really need to get out to the fields. If the sun ever comes out again. Beautiful photo.

Wooo! Where is this? The Netherlands?

It is in the NW corner of Washington State about 60 miles north of Seattle. The growing conditions are very similar to The Netherlands. 🙂
