I’ve posted a lot of pretty spring flowers lately so for this weeks photo challenge I’m going in a slightly different direction… This is a close up view of a fascinating kinetic sculpture at the Pacific Science Center and I thought the chrome coils looked like heavy, industrial springs.

Thanks, Sylvia. I knew once I saw this piece that I wanted to use it for Spring but it was a good thing the gallery wasn’t very full because I stood there for a while trying to get a photo that worked. 🙂

Haha, I was thinking along similar lines Lisa, but I don’t think I have any photos of ‘springs’! Now if only I had a shot of a hare springing up! I fear I’m resigned to the floral route 😦

Awesome!!!!! Love it when someone takes a completely different direction. and they absolutely do look like springs. It’s a fantastic photo, all the more dramatic in B&W.

I’m glad you like it! The color version was nice but there were some bright red flowers outside the window that distracted from the springs so I decided to fix it with B&W. 🙂
