Yes! A knockout monochrome silhouette.
I know that feeling all too well. I never anticipate the oncoming autumn and winter. I live for spring and summer.
Spring and summer are my favorite seasons too even though our winters are pretty mild compared to a lot of the country. I’m glad you like the monochrome silhouette. 🙂
Love this shot, especially how the guy is walking away, walking away from a nice day out. It’s amazing to see shots great shots from just using a phone.
Thanks, Mabel! Every day I discover something new I can do with my phone, it’s a lot of fun. 🙂
I love this silhouette. Actually you can make a lot of stories just by looking at it, depends on what you are thinking at the moment.
Thanks. 🙂
Striking! This is a wonderful shot — the black and white, the long shadow, the figure walking away –they all seem to be part of the final sentence of a story. Now I’m wondering what that story was!
It was a nice, quiet moment for us but now I wish I had followed the person walking away to see what they were up to. 🙂 Thanks for your visit and comment!
Lisa
The choice of monochrome helps me see various details that enliven the image. I like the way that she is walking into the distance, and the mountains also are in the distance. Very nice capture. Happy Photo Challenge.
Thanks so much, Sally. I photograph these mountains so often from our side of the water it’s about time I make the drive west to see them in person. 🙂 Hopefully later this summer…
I’ll await the captures.
Middle of August. 🙂

A great image, Lisa. 🙂
Thank you, Sylvia. 🙂
Lisa, That is a very cool picture. I love the binary composition on life. Patrick
Thanks, Patrick!
aloha NW Frame of Mind. a very cool silhouette shot. i like the push pull, left to right between trees and human form. plus the fading transition within sky and ground areas. all of this keeps my eye circling through out the image, exploring. cool. aloha.
Thanks so much, Rick I really appreciate your comments and visit and it’s great to hear you enjoyed exploring the photograph! Lisa
Well done, Lisa! It tell a story… I love this image.
Thank you, Amy! I’ve had this photo for awhile but didn’t really sit down to work with it until last night. I’m glad it got a second chance to be viewed. 🙂
Great photo! Btw, I should have my 1 day post ready soon 🙂
Wonderful!
Great shot, Lisa. I like the light on the right and the shadow, both of which add depth and interest. Without the shadow and a bit of light around it, it would be too much of a silhouette for me.
janet
Thanks for sharing your comments, Janet. I took this photo in black and white so my usual workflow of adjusting color had to be adapted and instead I spent more time looking at the shadows and light. I’m glad you like the end result. 🙂
Great shot, Lisa. And I’m with you. My favorite seasons are Spring and Summer. Love, Amy
Thanks so much, Amy!
You are welcome, Lisa. (((HUGS))) Amy
love the shadow and verticals – phone cameras rock.
Yes they do. 🙂
nice composition. Google William Mathews…he is a master water colorist and his composition is brilliant.
Thanks Carol Ann, I’ll take a look at William Mathews now. 🙂
I can feel it.
Oh good. 🙂
EXCELLENT image … it’s hard for me to believe that we are going into summer and you are going into winter. : – (
Fortunately for me this is an old photo and we are getting ready for summer now too. I couldn’t stand another round of winter without some warm sunshine first!
