The past week has flown by filled with long overdue family visits and way too much time at work but I want to slow down for a minute and share a photo from our 4th of July walk. Some of you might recognize this pretty landscape from a previous Wordless Wednesday post. Brownie points and gold stars to anyone who remembers the first photo. 🙂
Posted as part of Lens and Pen by Sally’s Phoneography and Non-SLR Digital Devices Photo Challenge: Nature.
I can’t BELIEVE I don’t remember lavender!! I love the stuff.
I love lavender too, Andra. 🙂 Don’t worry you didn’t miss it, the older photo doesn’t really show any, most of the frame is filled with the red plant in the upper right corner of this pic. 🙂
I make sure that everytime I see a post I am looking at it with a brand new look. Love it.
Thanks, Perpetua and a great way to approach each new post. 🙂
There’s a lot of good stuff happening in that photo.
Thanks, Jim. The view was enough to stop me in the middle of the street. 🙂
Love the texture of the sky and the plants! They echo each other.
I’m glad you see the mirror effect too, D’Arcy! Thanks for your comment. 🙂
I can smell it looking at the picture!
Oh, good. 🙂
A very refreshing view. Good for the eyes. I wish I had a view like that outside my office…perhaps soon 😉 Amazing how there are apps to bring images to life, that’s what I felt looking at this photo, Lisa.
I agree, Mabel sometimes the apps give a simple photo that little boost it needs to shine in a smaller format. I’m happy to hear you like this one!
So true. Sometimes it’s the simplest touch or effect that makes a photo shine brighter. At the end of the day, all photos tell a story and share an emotion. Looking forward to more of these photos from you 🙂
Thanks, Mabel. I have plenty to share. 🙂
so cool to see that green 🙂
Thanks, Joshi. 🙂
Hipstamatic is a favorite of mine. Which film are you using? I really like your composition and the effect of the app. Happy Photo Challenge.
It’s great to hear you like Hipstamatic too, Sally. 🙂 This is a new lens/film combination for me – John S and Pistil. Hipstography.com is a great website for all things Hipstamatic and I always find something new to try when I visit.
I didn’t know about Hipstography. Will definitely go to its Website. Thanks.

Sch a beautiful image, Lisa. 🙂
Thanks, Sylvia. 🙂
Hmm…is it the one with the smiling tree?
p.s. I love the new theme/look!
Not the smiling tree… 😉 Hint – It’s back in November of last year… My big theme change is still in the works but It’s nice to hear you like what you see so far. 🙂
Woman, you expect me to remember back to a post from November? I can barely remember what I had for lunch yesterday. 🙂
I had to do an archive search myself to find it. 🙂 I’ll be surprised if anyone remembers but thought “why not?” Now I’m thinking of lunch… I’m sure I ate something yesterday but what was it…
🙂
I love the composition and color in this photo! Beautiful!
Thanks so much for the nice comments, Angeline. 🙂
I love lavender. The look, the smell….the whole package.
Thanks, Mary. 🙂 We love lavender too but only have one small plant in this yard. I have to go out walking to enjoy the full effect. 🙂

Lisa, I don’t remember the photo, but I love it. Does that count? 🙂 I’m a lavender lover as well and have a photo of it on my blog today. Feel free to stop by.
janet
Yes, it counts Janet. :). I’ll click over to see your lavender now!
Another Hipstamatic entry to the challenge! Love it, love its mood, perfect with your lovely image, and the negative framing is ideal. Leaving here happier, having seen your hip lavender image. 😀
Thanks so much for your visit and for leaving such a nice comment, Jann! Hipstamatic is one of my favorite apps and it’s great to find another blogger who enjoys it as much as I do. 🙂 Lisa
Nice to connect, Lisa. And nice to get some new Hipspiration!
Yes it is. 🙂
