I’ve been worried about this 3:00 am week since the beginning of the 1 Day 1 World Project and as of last Saturday didn’t have a single good idea for what to do but Mother Nature came to my rescue with the rare, simultaneous occurrence of a Super Moon and the Perseid Meteor Showers. Of course I don’t have a camera that can really capture these nighttime events but thanks to the magic of the iPhone and Oggl here is my best shot.
Because Ryan refuses to be left out of any of these photo opportunities I set my alarm for 3:30 am Monday morning and with big travel mugs of hot chocolate the three of us set out to find the moon and some meteors. It was hard to get away from the city lights but we persevered until everyone saw a few shooting stars and I got one workable photo of the moon. I hope you like it!
If you have a photo or story to share about your 3:00 am hour I’d love to see it. Please tag your post 1 Day 1 World Project for easy reader searches and/or link your post in a comment below so we can all enjoy the view. Together we’ll build a virtual 24 hour day filled with images from around the world.
