December in the Pacific Northwest means plenty of wet days and early sunsets.  Today’s 8:33 hours of daylight passed far too quickly but these bright blue Hydrangea flowers remind me that summer is just a few months away. 🙂

Couldn’t believe how dark it was when I landed at 4;15 pm. 😦 (Guess I should have expected it, given Vegas’ short days.)

    The hydrangea is gorgeous!

Sunset was 4:18 here today, Nancy. :(. I hope you had a smooth flight and am happy to hear you like my summery hydrangea!

4:18! That really is early–I think 5:30 seems early, so I’d better stop complaining. :- The hydrangea flowers are so beautiful and think I’ll dream of spring instead of summer, but it sounds like neither one of us is thrilled with winter. 🙂

Short winter days are the price we pay for daylight until 10 pm in the summer, Debra so maybe it’s worth it. 🙂 Spring sounds pretty nice right now though. 🙂

Lisa, thank you for the burst of stunning hues–hydrangeas are one of my favorite flowers. I even have a black-stemmed variety. I relay enjoyed the macro version, it reminds me of what summer will offer. Our shorter days have been mixed with clouds and rain and bitter cold. Your flowers cheered me. Happy Photo Challenge.

Wow!!! Your hydrangeas look beautiful. Mine have suffered from the drought and now the cold nights have burnt their leaves which have pretty much all fallen off. With all of the rain recently, I am hopeful that next year will be better. Thanks for the burst of color to start my day!!!
