iPhoneography Monday: Winter Fog On The Waterfront

iPhone Monday 1-19-15

After a week of heavy fog Ryan and I’d had it with the lack of light and we left the house for the beach in search of some sky.  I know driving towards the water isn’t the best way to escape fog but at least we had a chance to see more than gray mist and our experimenting led to a few interesting photos including Serenity from my last post. This black and white was shot using Hueless while Serenity is the result of Hipstamatic and some post processing with Snapseed.

Thanks, Nancy! I really like Hueless for taking clear b&w photos. I started editing this one out of habit but decided I liked the original better and posted the shot straight from my phone file. 🙂

Lisa, I like the composition–the big picture that lures us into the details and the figure in the distance, the somber moodiness of the day. Happy Photo Challenge. Like your new theme–clean and simple.

Thanks Sally, it’s nice to hear you enjoyed the details in this image and I’m happy you like my theme. Clean and simple was my goal so your feedback is much appreciated. 🙂

Lisa, marvelous photo/s! The composition is excellent. Just curious–where is your blog? Mine’s on WordPress and I know about Blogpost, but you evidently have your own domain. Can you tell me a bit more? Thanks. I won’t have much internet access over the next week or so, but I will be checking.

Hi Janet, my blog is also on WordPress but I pay a little extra each year to have my own domain name instead of the free blog with WordPress in the address. The option to upgrade is in the Dashboard if you’re interested and the cost is minimal. 🙂 I hope you have a great time traveling and thanks so much for the nice comments! Lisa

Lisa – this picture caught my eye front he reader – but had a tasty surpass when I came to the blog – because I did not see the anchor – or the person – and so much more. This is one of those pictures that really has so much – I enjoyed the description you gave us with it too – but on its own it has so much that I feel like it could be discussed with a group standing in front of it. love it

Wow, thanks Yvette! This is one of the reasons I like to go back through old photos with a new eye because believe it or not I took this photo more than 1 year ago. It’s so nice to hear you appreciate all the elements in the frame!

I love it. Maybe we discussed it on Instagram but you told me about being hesitant to post it at first or something similar. I must be losing my mind 🙂

You’re not losing anything but I may be confusing people by posting multiple images in different social media groupings. 🙂 Sorry!
