iPhoneography Monday: Winter Fog On The Waterfront

iPhone Monday 1-19-15

After a week of heavy fog Ryan and I’d had it with the lack of light and we left the house for the beach in search of some sky.  I know driving towards the water isn’t the best way to escape fog but at least we had a chance to see more than gray mist and our experimenting led to a few interesting photos including Serenity from my last post. This black and white was shot using Hueless while Serenity is the result of Hipstamatic and some post processing with Snapseed.

I usually prefer my end of the day sun scenes in color but something about this photo with it’s bands of pure, bright light and white fluffy clouds spoke to me today.

For today’s Black and White Tuesday post I thought it would be fun to experiment with the Hueless app on my iPhone.  These piles of curvy driftwood caught my attention as Ryan led me down the beach with the rule that we could only walk on logs…no sand or rock steps allowed.
