Black and White Tuesday: 12-31-13

B&W Tuesday 12-31-13

For my final Black and White Tuesday of 2013 I have a photo from Seattle’s Pike Place Market and a view down Lower Post Alley.  My post yesterday mentioned the Market’s  infamous gum wall and this image is as close as I was willing to go… Believe it or not the pieces of used gum cover an area stretching 15 feet high and 50 feet long and in 2009 the wall was named one of the top five germiest attractions second to the Blarney Stone.

      1. You’re right! One of the things I love about this area is that it would have still looked old in the 1920’s. This part of the alley is the starting point for a ghost tour that I really want to try soon…

  1. I love the drama of the light and the texture of the gum wall. Sounds pretty nasty, but makes an interesting photo. Happy New Year!
