Found during a walk in the woods and posted as part of the Weekly Photo Challenge: Object.
There’s a soccer ball that’s been in our yard since my son was in high school. He turned 30 last week. When I get home tomorrow, I’ll try to remember to snap its portrait and post it.

So would I. 😉 If I could find that trail again I would go back and see if it was still there but we ended up there while looking for a beach we never found and now I don’t remember exactly where we were!

This is a gorgeous capture. The leaf colors and textures are so rich and vibrant, and the ball almost blends in yet is just enough of an even shape to say man made. I love this shot.

Did you alter the colors in this photo? – just curious – but wow – what a beautiful shot. The ferns caught my attention on the second viewing – and of course that ball!! very nice. 🙂

We have an old soccer ball that sort of “came with the house”…It’s pretty much flat and useless but I can’t bring myself to toss it away! I always wonder whose it was, and figure if I move, I’ll leave it behind for the next owner to contemplate!
