1 Day 1 World Project: 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm

The early hours of this project have been a lot of fun here at the Kennedy house as we’ve been able to go out and see some new things every week looking for new material to post.  I’m still not sure how we will make the nighttime hours look interesting but hey, a little challenge is good for us.  Stay tuned. 🙂

Today we took a long walk down to the beach, ready to see the Edmonds Waterfront Festival.  The festival is an annual fundraiser for the Rotary Club of Edmonds and the proceeds go to some very worthy causes during the year.

Ryan’s first stop had to be the french fry and hot dog stand he’s dreamed about since last years outing.  I’ll admit, they were worth the wait!

After the tub of fries I was able to walk past the hot doughnut truck but couldn’t resist a quick picture.

At the end of a row of vendors selling sparkly outfits, blow up sharks and bubble wands was a lone stand of political expression.

Finally John and I stood below and watched Ryan climb the rock tower not once but twice.  All in all a great way to spend the afternoon.

Last week was a fun one and we got to read entries from Singapore, Germany, Slovenia, England, Australia and the Netherlands as well as the US States of Washington, Oregon, California, and Texas. If you have a photo or story to share about your 4:00 pm hour I’d love to see it!   Please tag your post 1 Day 1 World Project for easy reader searches and/or link your post in a comment below so we can all enjoy your view and together we’ll build a virtual 24 hour day filled with images from around the world.

If you’re new to the 1 Day 1 World Project please take a look at my introductory post here.  This 4:00 pm post will remain open for new submissions until the end of Saturday, June 7th and a new post for the 5:00 pm hour will open for entries Sunday, June 8th.

  1. Kudos to Ryan on the rock climbing. I’ve often wanted to have a go, but didn’t dare in case I made a fool or myself. Anyway, I think one needs smallish feet to fit onto those small ledges. 😕 I think I’d definitely give that Super Slide a big swerve though. 😯

    1. Watching bigger people try the rock climbing proves your point, Sylvia. Small feet are good for this sort of thing. 🙂 He had a great time but I wasn’t volunteering to take a turn. 😉

  2. How could you pass up a hot donut? Then as I think of it, a donut after fries and a hot dog might induce food coma…if not that then an odd mixing of flavors. But then again, a donut is just deep fried cake making it dessert! 🙂

      1. There is a donut shop just six blocks from my house. They have the best blueberry donuts. It is family owned and a must experience stop in Livermore.

    1. I agree with you LD but after much protesting I finally decided to let him eat first and ride/climb second. Can you believe he didn’t get sick? 13 year old stomachs are a wonder. 🙂

      1. Yes, so do I. I live near the Great Lakes, but not the beach as I would like. Please think of me sometimes when you are enjoying the beach, as if I were there too. Thank you. (((HUGS))) Amy

    1. Welcome back, Amy! Ryan is constantly in motion, unless he is eating – it makes photos challenging but I agree, the activity is great for him. 🙂 I’m looking forward to seeing your newest photos!
