We’re slowly unpacking after a fantastic vacation in the Olympic National Park and I can’t wait to start sharing photos from our hikes through the mountains, beaches, lakes and rainforests of the Washington State Peninsula. This week is devoted to macro mobile photography at Lens and Pen by Sally so I’ll start small with a view of the plentiful mussels and barnacles living on Rialto Beach but don’t worry I have hundreds of new larger than life photos to choose from in an attempt to communicate just how large and scenic this part of the country really is.

That is just really good stuff. It is a magical place. I have good memories of wandering around there.

Great shot of the mussels and barnacles. Rialto beach is an amazing spot. Sounds like you had a great time.

  We didn’t eat any this trip but I did have a fantastic salad with fresh shrimp the night before. This is such a wonderful park, I’m having a hard time deciding which photo to post tomorrow. 🙂

Exquisite iPhone shots!!! I am going backwards to see the posts I have missed here, especially now that I am planning a new trip next week and will be absent again. Mussels are my favourite fruit from the sea, and I love your DoF in these captures. In short – one of my favourite posts from you 😀
