Even though we hiked out to Sol Duc Falls during one of the driest summers on record the powerful sound of water rushing over the edge and down the canyon was something John, Ryan and I will always remember. Â After admiring this view from the center of the narrow log bridge we continued hiking upstream to rest and eat our lunch by the river before a beautiful return trip through the forest.

This so perfectly captures the beauty of the Northwest forest! I have never been there, but now I want to go!

I love seeing water in movement; and would guess your shutter-speed was around .25 of a second ?

Thanks, M-R! As for shutter-speed I don’t have a clue… I took the photo with my iPhone native camera on automatic and worked with Snapseed later from my desktop. 🙂
