Good question, Ruth I’m not sure where the name came from but the wind is very strong here and winters must be really cold. Can’t beat the view though. 🙂
You’re so welcome, Mabel! I know you’ve got beautiful ocean views all around too and am happy to hear you like to see the sites from our part of the world. 🙂
Yes, the beaches aren’t too far from the city where I live and they are stunning. Always nice to see how your part of the world looks like. Different, but similar in so many ways.
Wishing I could just jump into this image to stand on the shore, inhaling deeply of the wonderful smell of water and wind. Beautifully composed, Lisa. Thank you. Love, Amy
Thanks so much, Amy! I’d love to be back in this spot too but suspect it wouldn’t feel as great right now in the middle of winter. 🙂 I’ll have to return for more warm summer air in July…
Thank you, Ottto. If you get a chance to see Lopez Island the views are really wonderful. Of the 8 San Juan Islands I’ve visited this is my favorite by far.
I am curious if it is called Iceberg Point because it is freezing cold.
Beautiful view.

It’s on Lopez Island in the San Juans, Tony and the only trail marker is a tiny sign painted on a rusty saw… beautiful views if you can find it!
