I’m pretty sure this “fresh” sign is meant to advertise freshly caught fish at Seattle’s Pike Place Market but each time I walk up this ramp I read the two signs together and think “fresh restrooms” below…

  1. Your photo captures lots of what I love about the market building: colorful neon, pattern of tiles and railings, and the details of the columns. A special place–even though the restrooms aren’t always fresh!

  2. I always feel terribly sorry for women lined up to use the restroom in the Market, it’s the worst insult to injury I can imagine. However, one could argue it’s possibly balanced out by the fact the men’s restroom must be exponentially more revolting.
