There are days when I can focus on the big picture and let little things go by the wayside but then comes a week when the big picture is just a bit to big and I narrow my field of vision searching for small things that make me happy. I didn’t over think this trend at the end of March but looking through these 7 photos suggests that’s exactly what happened.
My Sunday search for a photo opportunity led me to the backyard and a pretty batch of spring flowers while Monday’s bright spot was a quick run through the car wash. Tuesday afternoon was spent at Children’s Hospital followed by a stop at Starbucks for some welcome caffeine before driving home.
Wednesday didn’t exactly go as planned but John surprised me with these pretty flowers before dinner and Thursday I asked my Instagram and Facebook friends if they thought looking at the bottom of a glass was a happy or sad moment. Would they be happy because the Gin & Tonic was so nice or sad because it was gone… results were split 50-50. 🙂 Friday night I liked this view of bare branches in the evening sun and Saturday afternoon Black Widow rode her motorcycle across our deck.
Coming soon I’ve got a great set of new photos almost ready to share here from our latest spring adventures and if you’d like to follow along in real-time don’t forget I post my daily photos on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook. If a once-a-week blog read is more your speed my weekly recaps will continue here along with caption notes containing editing information for each photo.
A really good batch.

I can’t keep up with our prolific WordPress Community. If I ever dip-toed into other Social Media platforms, it would be my demise. 🙂 I’ll continue to enjoy your weekly posts here.

It’s always wonderful to see you here, Eric. 🙂 Other Social Media platforms have their benefits but I really enjoy my time and friendships here on WordPress the most.

I love that carwash shot! Until I read what it was, I had no idea. It looks like a state fair midway ride splashed with gold dust.

Now that sounds like a lot more fun, D’Arcy. 🙂 Off to find some gold dust now…

I’m sure glad you identified the car wash picture. Once you stated what it was it made perfect sense. I once took my dog Sadie through a car wash. Needless to say, she did not like it. Haven’t repeated that experience. Maybe Finn would find it interesting but most likely not. WordPress continues to be my only social media so I will continue to catch up with you here in the blog-o-sphere.

Ooh I’m pretty sure Finn would hate a car wash… yikes!

I felt bad for Sadie. I did not consider it would bother her since she went everywhere with me. Finn can check that one off his bucket list.

Your husband sounds like a lovely man. 🙂 We all need a little boost now and then and fresh flowers is my favourite. I try to be a glass half full person but I can’t always manage that. Hope the week ahead is a good one, Lisa. 🙂

Very cool appearance by Black Widow, Lisa! I’ve recently had a bit of experience looking for the small things! Holding onto the big picture can at times require some heavy lifting! 🙂 Here’s little lighter load this coming week?
