My Year In Pictures: May Week 1

Published by

I feel like we’ve finally turned the corner toward a long, warm summer and now instead of rushing outside at the first hint of blue sky I’m secretly looking forward to some rainy days so I can catch up on inside chores. ย Spring 2016 has been picture perfect here in the Pacific Northwest and this set of 7 photos shows you what we saw in the early days ofย May.

Flowers started blooming weeks ahead of scheduleย and by Sundayย afternoon this lovely succulent was well on its way to summer fullness. ย Monday’s warm temperatures meant I could start brushing Finn outdoors again, sparing the house from the clouds of white dog hair and Tuesday this happy little Beluga rode the elevator with us to Ryan’s appointment at Seattle Children’s Hospital.

Wednesday was May 4th is known around here as #StarwarsDay (may the fourth be with you) so Ryan had to wear one of his many themed t-shirts. ย Thursday we needed some potato chips for a quick pick-me-up snack and by Friday night I was back to work in our Etsy store with a fresh batch of Dryer Balls ready to photograph and ship. ย Saturday morning I woke up readyย for a walk andย this pretty spot under the trees marked my turn around point.

Coming soon Iโ€™ve got a great set of new photos almost ready to share here from our latest springย adventures andย if youโ€™d like toย follow along in real-time donโ€™t forget I post my daily photos onย Instagram,ย Twitterย andย Facebook. If a once-a-week blog read is more your speedย my weekly recaps will continue here along with caption notes containing editing information for each photo.

Sounds like a good week there, Lisa. That Beluga picture inside the lift is so cute. That is such a happy face ๐Ÿ™‚ I’ve always been having potato chips as a pick me up snack this week. I have been making my bag of chips last for a few days, eating small portions each day ๐Ÿ˜€

I agree, Kris fur on the furniture is better than no pet in the house. ๐Ÿ™‚ I hope you have had a fantastic weekend and all the best for a great week ahead!

This coming week looks a little cool and damp but the following one should be fantastic. Just in time for your road trip!
