The days leading up to any big holiday are always a busy blur and you’d think by now I’d have found a manageableΒ way to balance the demands of work and family and funΒ but I guess that dream willΒ always be bit of a work-in-progress. Β I do try to slow down for a few minutes each day though toΒ think about what all this effortΒ is really forΒ so this week you get a glimpse at what I stopped to see on our way to Christmas.
There was a classic moment when I walked past a cherry red mailbox for Santa letters while listening to Christmas carols in flaky lightΒ snow and later Ryan, John and I stopped to take a picture of Santa in his sleigh. One block over I had to stop again forΒ a picture of our favorite wine bar with its basket of pretty red berries and winter greens. Β I’m always ready to photograph public art and these next two images were part of what would usually be a boring cement retaining wall. Β Finally the week ends with the start of my end-of-the year tour of ornaments and Christmas Eve.
Iβll be back with a new post in a few daysΒ but if you donβt want to wait please join us on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook.
