  1. great composition (as usual) and love how the flowers have that extra section to the bottom left – adds interest – and then the three flora – almost scalloped – sections to the right of that – brings the eye to the bench or whatever that is – with all that patina
    🙂
and then there is contrast and just a beautiful photo

    1. I love that you caught the extra section on the botton left, Y. I cropped it out in my first version posted on IG thinking it was a distraction but it just didn’t feel right so I decided to restore the full frame before posting here. 🙂 Now I’m glad I did! Yes, this is a weathered wood bench that John and Ryan gave me as a Mother’s day gift years ago and it’s lived in our garden ever since.

      1. oh how nice to hear the details (and seriously – connecting with you tonight feels a little like connecting with an old friend here in town – ahhhhh)

and your reply reminds that “there is a time to crop and a time not to crop”

although I bet the cropped version was nice

      2. I agree, it is so nice to re-connect old friend. 🙂 It’s wonderful to “talk” to you again! The cropped version is nice too and was popular on IG but I think this one is better. 😉

  2. I agree with what Y said. That the bunch on the ends works well with the image. Sort of gives the impression that pink and beauty are raining down on such a beautiful gift 🙂 John and Ryan were very thoughtful when they gave that to you 🙂

    1. Thank you for the kind words, Mabel. 🙂 I’ll have to tell John and Ryan everyone likes their gift bench. 🙂 Happy to hear you like the flowers and photo too!
