Did you know that close to 71% of the Earth’s surface is covered by water? In response to Lens and Pen by Sally’s challenge to share portraits of Nature in celebration of Earth Day I want to post four new iPhone pictures featuring views of the water in Washington State.
These first two images were taken today by my mom Sharon as she walked along the spectacular Columbia River in Vantage, WA.
The next two are from the beautiful Marina Beach in Edmonds, WA. The park was full of families enjoying this sunny spring evening and I hope a few of them were thinking about Earth Day too.
If you would like to jump in and post a photo (or two) for iPhoneography Monday please visit Lens and Pen by Sally and see her schedule below:
1st Monday: Nature
2nd Monday: Macro
3rd Monday: Black-and-White
4th and 5th Mondays: Challenger’s Choice (Pick One: Abstraction, Architecture, Food Photography, Night Photography, Portraiture, Still Life, Street Photography, and Travel).
Very nice set of images to celebrate Mother Nature.

Oh, yeah, that’s not Ohio…
Lovely photos. I’m impressed they were taken with a phone. My iPhone pics never look that great. 🙂

Thanks, I thought my mom’s texted photos were so great I asked her if I could post them. 🙂 Then I had to run out and get a few of my own! I would love to see a few from Ohio. 😉

I have a few pair that look a lot like yours… that photo could have come from my closet. 🙂

Love photos of water. There’s always something special about them, possibly because water plays with light.

I can smell the salt air as I gaze at your snap shots! There’s nothing quite like the WA coast.
