As a mom who doesn’t ride motorcycles I can’t help but feel relieved that Ryan is still too short to ride my cousin’s Harley Davidson but this smile in Jake’s driveway tells me loud and clear he’s going to find a way…

Based on the look, I predict Ryan will at some point take off on his uncle’s Harley…with his uncle’s permission when Mom is not around. Ryan has the “gearhead” grin.

He definitely has the “gearhead” grin. 🙂

He has it from both sides, my cousin is a motorcycle guy and my brother is all about cars and racing. Uncle and cousin – both gearheads. 🙂

Christmas Idea – When my daughter turned 12, I started to buy tools for her and her brother for Christmas and Birthdays. They both now have a nice set of tools. Perfect gifts for a gearhead. 🙂

That’s a great idea, he is ready to appreciate a gift like that now and I don’t really want to buy electronic/video presents.

I would recommend Craftsman Tools (Snap-On if you have tons of extra money). Lifetime guarantee. I still have nearly all of my original tools that I bought when I was fourteen (38 years ago…where did all that time go?).

Thanks for the tip, Craftsman sounds like a good plan for us and our Craftsman yard tools have held up very well except for the pitch fork but Sears honored their guarantee and replaced it for free. Ah, the ultimate question, where does time go?

I’ve seen a couple of great photos on other sites for this prompt; but, this one is definitely my favorite! If it has to be a motorcycle, at least it’s a Harley 🙂

After seeing lots of good posts I had to take some time and think about a new angle for this one. Glad you like it and yes, at least it’s a Harley. 🙂

Oh, shoot, that smirk is saying, “get used to it, Mom!” As a former HD rider I can tell you right now, you don’t have to like it, but you might have to get use to it. Thankfully I can blame my brother for getting me into motorcycles (the actual truth is a different matter 😀 ).

Yikes, I thought that smirk was telling me something… I’ll have to ask you to translate as he gets older. 😉

I do too. 😉 Cute story, I promised Ryan I wouldn’t post photos of him without his permission and when I asked about this pic he said “ok, I look pretty good there”. He’s not a shy boy!
