The vigas at the very top of the second story?

Yes! The angle of the sun lined up just right for an interesting pattern on this small section of the wall.

Love Santa Fe! (Or, as I call it, Fanta Se.) Something about the light down there, and those amazing blue skies, which are shaded so beautifully in your shot. A great place for photographers!

Oh yes, the light and sky are two of my favorite things about Santa Fe! Along with the chilies and margaritas. 🙂

That must happen just once a year! ( or is it twice a year ?)

Great point Peter, I actually took this shot during the summer solstice! Checking the winter solstice could be a great excuse for another trip. 🙂

I like the shadows that lead us upward, and the processing works so well.

Thank you Sally. It is a pretty plain photo without a little boost so I cropped and processed until I thought it became more of an interesting scene. I’m glad you like the effects.

You’re welcome Lisa. Yes, I am way behind in my visits and hope that I can do so more but with the heat here I am more in the pool than in front of the pc. 😀

Thanks CD! There is something about the adobe architecture of Northern New Mexico against the bright blue skies that draws me in each time.

Thank you LD. Funny thing is the shadows weren’t the focus of my original photo. I just wanted a shot of the building to remember it by. It wasn’t until yesterday that I thought a little cropping and color boost would accentuate the shadow for this post.
