Weekly Photo Challenge: One

Every good photograph needs a focal point. It’s the thing that draws the viewer’s eye and tells the story.

Michelle – The Daily Post

One

This is the first year my son has been able to take the bus to school and since our pick up location is about fifteen minutes away the thirty minute round trip is an enjoyable way to increase my daily exercise.  This change in our morning schedule has opened my eyes to a new view of our neighborhood and details I’ve missed from the car are now clearly in focus as we walk by.  This mushroom is one of those fun finds happily growing on a busy corner underneath a fire hydrant and stop sign.

Great shot. We have a lot of these growing at the lakes here around the trunks of the trees hidden in the shade. Beautiful mushroom.

Wow, very nice shot! I hope you didn’t touch it because if it’s an amanita, it’s very toxic. It’s so hard to distinguish it from the edible kind.

fly agaric – toadstool – always brings thoughts of elves and fairies to mind, though I believe it is quite poisonous! It is a tricky thing to photograph clearly though so well done you for such a great shot!
