I can just imagine. Those 4 weeks in Toronto between mid Dec and mid Jan was enough for me. I’m crossing my fingers the worst of it will be over when I head back at the end of the month.

Crazy weather… believe it or not I spent a work week in Texas last July and it rained every single day. The weather in Seattle was amazing and TX was wet!

lovely – interesting red trunks and limbs on those trees, any idea what they are?

Thanks Jude, the red trunks are Madrona trees and they are native to the Pacific Coast from California to British Columbia. The limbs and curly bark are really pretty – one of my husband’s favorite trees.

Great shot. This shot looked so much like Pender Island, right down to the arbutus, that I had to look twice, and then I saw that it was the San Juans. Makes sense.We can see these islands if we walk two houses away from our house (or if our neighbor would just prune one tree we could see it from our bedroom! LOL) Quite exciting to see close up what we see from afar.
