One of the things I love about Heather is its determined nature, blooming right on schedule no matter the conditions. This little plant flowers in my front yard every winter providing bright spots of color in a season filled with green, brown and white.

Beautiful photo. It’s so easy sitting here in sunshine listening to the cicadas, to be envious of snow and all the wonderful “photo opportunities” it creates – but I hope that you are all ok and not suffering too hard in what seems like a tough winter. 🙂

I think it’s incredible that they bloom despite the temps.
The snow looks real pretty sprinkled on the violets.
