On top can be a feeling, a perspective, or a physical location.
The Daily Post – Sara Rosso
This eagle perched on a weathered driftwood pirate ship had to feel like he was sitting on top of the world…

That is an awesome shot! It’s terribly cloudy and windy today, anything I can do to get a decent shot? I’m having issues figuring out how to handle shutter speed on a windy day.

I’m happy to hear you like this shot! I wish I could offer some great advice regarding success on a windy day but I’m a shoot on automatic kind of person… my best bet is to brace yourself against something solid, take a lot of photos, and hope at least one of them work. 😉

Okay, I have conflicting voices in my head. One is yelling “I’m on top of the world,” and the other is singing “Drink up me hearties, yo ho, yo ho.” What a beautiful bird, and a spectacular capture.

Thanks CG, they are beautiful birds up close and surprisingly large and powerful. We have a lot of Eagles in this area and it can be dangerous to leave small pets outside unattended…

What a catch! Sensational shot… he certainly looks like he is the master of the universe. What a regal bird. And on the old mast… too perfect.

Thanks! It was a chilly day and I thought these cool tones emphasized the early spring weather. The cooperative eagle was a bonus that really made our day. 🙂
