Weekly Photo Challenge: Extra, Extra

Extra Extra

It’s been a busy week here filled with family activities, end of school projects, a band concert and a Wednesday birthday.  Mine!  I was lucky enough to have the day off but couldn’t fit everything I wanted to accomplish into the happy day and still try to relax at the same time.  One of the things I thought wouldn’t make the list was a walk along the waterfront but as luck would have it we went out for dinner by the Marina and I got my walk right at sunset.

Dinner with my guys was wonderful and I’m choosing to think of  this pretty view as my “extra” present.

    1. Thanks, M-R. 🙂 Since this is an iPhone shot that was taken a little late in the day for a clear image I experimented some with the processing. I always start with Snapseed for tuning and details then for this one I applied some of the glow effects in Perfect Photo Suite 8. I’m glad you like it!

      1. I think I like best the way the reflections on the water remain crisp and the rest of the frame is rendered a bit … mystical ! 🙂

  1. Lisa- You’ve captured two of my favorites: (1) When the clouds, like curtains, raise just enough to get a peak at the the Olympics (2) Piers- my husband and I have deemed Puget Sound piers as the BEST places for a hug.
    Happy Birthday ❤

  2. well amy – this photo would also qualify for the “work of art challenge” because the coloring and the lighting is so artsy – and then to read it was a b-day shot made it even more special – 🙂 ❤

  3. Ah, that crazy end-of-school-year rush is enough to require a very long vacation in payment of making it through! But you’re walk in the sunset comes in a close second 😉 Lovely shot. And happy belated birthday, Lisa!
