What do you do with a favorite red wagon when your kid outgrows pull toys and spends his time with electronics and sports? Turn it into a planter. 🙂 This week has flown by in a blur of first week of school activities, a new home re-decorating project and big plans for my husband’s 50th Birthday party this weekend but I did step outside just before 7:00 am to take a photo of the hardy flowers that survived our surprisingly hot summer and my lack of time for gardening.
If you have a photo or story to share about your 6:00 am hour I’d love to see it! Please tag your post 1 Day 1 World Project for easy reader searches and/or link your post in a comment below so we can all enjoy the view. Together we’ll build a virtual 24 hour day filled with images from around the world.
If you’re new to the 1 Day 1 World Project please take a look at my introductory post here. This 6:00 am post will remain open for submissions until the end of Saturday, September 13th and a new post for the 7:00 am hour will open for entries Sunday, September 14th.

I have not seen a flyer red wagon ever – just brilliant – I have seen the old rusty wagons and different wooden one s- but this is just cool. and quote a memory piece – and your flowers are bueno.

Well your flowers are looking great despite the lack of attention. I love that red petunia, goes very well with the red wagon.

Thanks, Bebs. I can always count on these small petunias to thrive even if I don’t keep up with watering and fertilizing. One of my favorites. 🙂

I wish I had your green thumb Lisa. My 6 am is so bleak in comparison – will never be able to take photos at that ungodly hour.

My green thumb has been tested this summer, Paula but some plants are tough enough to survive. 🙂 I’m not much of a morning person but strangely this 6 am photo was easier than finding a subject for this weeks 8 am post.

I guess your 8 o’clock is a lot busier. On the subject of thumbs another cactus departed – that was not the absolute favourite but still.. Ryan’s pet cactus is still holding up?
