You make a great point, Su. There are a lot of similarities in our geographies and it is definitely a comfortable experience viewing your photos yet exciting at the same time because they contain things I haven’t seen before. 🙂
Thanks, Jann. I didn’t want to commit to only Hipstamatic with this view so I have plenty of natural color shots too but today I felt like trying something different. I’m glad you like it. 🙂
I think they are small, Gazebo like seating areas on the dock, M-R. We tip toed onto private property to watch the sunset but I didn’t want to walk all the way out to their dock to see the rest. 🙂 Maybe I’ll check the next time were out there…
Stunning sunset, Lisa. I like how the water becomes golden in the foreground of the shot, like a golden path to another island. Interesting that you put a filter over the shot and it looks blotchy in places. Not too sure what you were going for, but I think it works well 🙂
I’m glad you like the finished look of this one, Mabel. I used the app Hipstamatic to take the shot and one of the features of this particular lens/film combination is rich colors with patches that appear aged. I take plenty of traditional shots too but have fun experimenting with the thousands of combinations in Hipstamatic, each photo is unique. 🙂
Beautiful shot!

I really love the beautiful images of your “neck of the woods” — not dissimilar to my own, so maybe I find it comforting as well as exciting. 🙂
