While most of the country is trapped in a sub-zero weather pattern our strangely warm Pacific Northwest winter brought bright blue skies and temperatures in the 50’s. No one knows quite what to do here but we’re trying to spend as much time outside as possible knowing the rain and chilly air will be back before we know it.
If you’ve looked closely at my weekly “shake it up” photos this month you might have noticed I spend a lot of time walking Finn, parking the car and buying food. Thankfully Hipstamatic has a randomize feature that brings new life to these daily tasks or this series would be one flat image after another of streets, cookies and cars!
Sunday the 15th was a beautiful day so even though the wind was cold Ryan and I spent a fun hour at the beach soaking up the sun. Monday the 16th is another mushroom shot from my morning dog walk and I like the unexpected touch of this high contrast black and white treatment in such a green setting. Tuesday the 17th is another view of our neighborhood and so you don’t think all I do is walk around outside Wednesday the 18th shows the little slice of sky I managed to see sandwiched between floors of concrete.
Thursday the 19th is from a sky bridge in Seattle looking north up 6th avenue and Friday the 20th is a quick shot of our grocery store’s bakery where I picked up some cookies before my morning presentation. By the time Saturday rolled around I was happy to be outside again, walking Finn and enjoying another beautiful morning.
Like last week these photos are all straight from Hipstamatic’s “shake to randomize” function and posted without any additional editing. If you like a particular combination and want to try it at home just click on the image to see the lens and filter used. I’ll be back next Sunday with 7 new photos and maybe even a few new favorites!
